CANDACE MAESTAS, PRESIDENT
Candace Maestas founded Summit Consulting, Inc in 2003. With over 30 years of clinical experience in the healthcare industry and with the most recent 10 years specializing in hospital information systems utilizing the MEDITECH HCIS system.  She has developed her expertise in the building, implementation and support of the MEDITECH clinical applications, focusing on the NUR, PCI, OE and PHA modules. In her role as a Consultant she has led many MEDITECH implementation projects and has assisted hospitals with their strategic planning to improve and optimize their use of the MEDITECH HCIS.

Prior to starting her own company Candace worked as an independent consultant for two leading consulting companies. She has been involved with many multi-facility implementations, as well as clinical redesign and system optimization projects.  Other noteworthy accomplishments include, MEDITECH ring release implementations, post go-live trouble shooting, Rapid Improvement processes including LEAN and Sun Microsystems.  As a professional, she has maintained her knowledge regarding current requirements involving JCAHO, AOA, HCFA and HIPAA standards.

JENNY DENNEHY, HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR
Jenny Dennehy has over 10 years Human Resources experience with a leading Project Management software company and a nationwide employment agency.  Through the course of her career, Jenny was directly involved in Benefits Administration, Employment Practices, Payroll and Recruitment.  In addition, she held the position of Corporate HIPAA Security Officer, maintained the HRIS system database and was a lead member in the HRIS conversions as a result of Company mergers and acquisitions. 

As a part of Summit Consulting Incorporated, she is currently assisting in recruitment and placement of consultants, company marketing, and client relations and communications.

CHRIS MAESTAS, BUSINESS MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT

Chris Maestas has over 20 years of experience in finding the right people for the right job at the right time at the right price.  Chris spent his early years in industrial temporary staffing learning HR Basics.  Then in the 90’s Chris served as Customer Support Manager of AmWest Communications, the first Colorado software company to offer software for CPA’s to transmit tax returns directly to IRS mainframe computers. He then served as VP of Panacea Systems, an AmWest spin-off, that was the first Colorado software company to develop practice management system for Physicians that also provided electronic transmission of electronic claims through a clearinghouse.  

Chris then joined a national temporary services company and as Regional Manager was responsible for a division that included hundreds of support employees that provided complete outsourcing and administration of HR and payroll functions, including staffing programs for Tyson Foods, The United States Air Force, Coors Brewing, Major League Baseball and other business organizations that included thousands of frontline employees. One of his primary duties was managing take-over and turn-around teams for troubled operation sites.

Since 2001, Chris has served in an executive capacity as General Manager for
AMI
-Wellness Home Health Services, the 4th largest Home Health Agency in the Denver Metro Area. 

Chris is a member of SHRM and has extensive experience in database management, health claims adjudication, and business process accounting.
